Description:
Chiharu Tamaki celebrated the 10th anniversary of her major-label debut this year with this heartfelt mini-album. It has been three and a half years since her last album, and the new album consists of three newly recorded songs and two instrumental (karaoke) songs, including the title song "Egao no Hana" written and composed by singer/songwriter Hanako Oku. The "pain and struggle" and "many joys" that she embodies in her daily activities... and the "smile" that is born from the presence of both. This is a warm work full of smiles that spins out a story rooted in her own daily life. The sound of the album was arranged by Nobuhiko Koizumi and George Nagata, which further accentuates Chiharu Tamaki's unique singing voice and worldview. The song "In a World More Fleeting than a Dream" is the theme song for "Asian Documentaries," a program that distributes outstanding Asian documentaries to the world.
