This is his 25th album of small pieces. The number of recorded pieces has reached a whopping 367! (ISODA label, OTAKEN label). The album title, "Serenade of Angels," is a work by Italian cellist and composer Gaetano Braga (1829-1907), now known only for this substantial work. The program concludes with a Gypsy Dance by contemporary composer Frederic Chaslin (b.1963).Once again, the commentary is by Jun Tsujii himself, with a highly readable four-page column titled "One Violinist's Commentary," as well as detailed descriptions of each piece.(Tobu Shoji)
